Hello! I can see in the gif you have attached where the player walks up to the slimes with the sword and shield on his back and then takes it out. I am having trouble locating where the animations are when it's on the character's back. Could you help me with this? I can see the character can sheath the sword but can't find the sprite sheet where they're walking around with it sheathed.
Such animations are not officially supported, sorry. That's just a demonstration of something you can do, but you'll need to setup sheathed-sword animations on your own. Just take the weapon sprites from the separated sheet and arrange them as necessary where you want them to be.

Unfortunately, none of the add-on hairstyles are set up to work with the combat add-ons (as noted on the product page). However, you can probably copy/paste hairstyle sprites from the non-combat animations to work well enough with the combat animations.

So I've been pondering how to leave this review for a couple of days now. I figured I would leave it here on the page for the base, since that's the starting point for the entirety of Mana Seed.
I don't have much to criticize, to be perfectly honest. The artwork is beautiful, the characters are well animated and the animations are plentiful. There are even animations for fishing and farming, if you have an inkling to make a character catch a fish or harvest turnips.
I love these sets. I think they are spectacular. Sel;el has done a marvelous job.
Hey Seliel! Hope you're well! Was thinking how great it would be to get two-handed swings (for a great sword or the ax) and similarly how that would be good for tree chopping. I suspect the current ax animation is more akin to the Harvest Moon stick or log chopping than a tree, right? Or am I missing something? Thanks and great work as always!!

The character is around 32 pixels high, and each frame is isolated in a 64x64 pixel cell, arranged evenly on a grid. The asset currently contains six sheets of sprites, each one 512x512 pixels in total.

Do you plan on doing them so that the weapons themselves will be separate layers/paper-doll style? Or did you have something different in mind? Either way could work for me (as long as they support 4 directions), just curious. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
Yeah I'll definitely be adding combat animations eventually. I have all sorts of animation updates and outfit add-ons planned over the next couple years.

The character is ambidextrous. Just like Link, in Link to the Past.

The way I'm using the character, it's more like a conflict between lefties and righties. I guess that is the inevitable outcome anyway... ;)

Hairstyle pack only support the base character?
I mean like does it support the sword and shield pack?
and how? I could find any hairstyle for that pack only the base ones!
As it says on the page: the 5 hairs in the optional hairstyle pack are only setup to work with the regular Base animations, not the combat add-ons.

There are a lot of animation frames in the Base. You can try copy-pasting the hairstyles into the combat frames where the head angle lines up.

Open the "color ramp samples.png" file included in this asset. It's got a bunch of suitable color palettes for skin tones and clothes you can use.

Can you provide an underlay showing how to separate these?? Ugh, haha they are all on one sheet with no indication of which is walking, dashing etc.
I only see 3 Jumping frames and also 2 dashing? Am I missing something. I love it the art otherwise

It was not made with RPG Maker in mind, so it would require some plugins to use to its full potential.

Yes it includes the fishing pole, hoe, axe, pick, watering can, smith's hammer & anvil. Just about everything you see except the fish ๐๐

They will have the weapons and effects on separate layers, just like my outfits. Should be pretty cool, look for another update soon ๐
