>>>>> FOR THE UNITY GAME ENGINE!! <<<<<

This is a massive collection of hand-drawn pixel art tilesets inspired by 16-bit RPG classics. Whether you're making an epic globe-spanning action RPG, or a cozy slice-of-life farming sim, this pack covers just about any place your players would need to go! This package contains more than 20 unique environments, each with various customization elements: ground textures, cliffs, walls, doors, trees, rocks, etc. There are also many standalone environmental objects suitable for any environment, like fences & walls, bridges, signposts, furniture, and more! Lastly, I've included a set of weather effects so you can simulate rain, snow, and cloud cover. Each asset is wrapped up in a Unity package and pre-sliced for your convenience.

Specifically, this product combines the following separately-sold asset packs in their entirety:

To purchase each pack separately would run you almost $450, so this bundle represents more than a 70% discount, to say nothing of the convenience of them all being pre-sliced for Unity. I've also included all the guides and sample maps (created in Tiled) from each asset (that had them) to help you understand how it's all meant to work. I recommend something like Super Tiled2Unity for importing the sample maps into your project.

To reiterate: this asset is a UNITY PACKAGE! You need to load it into Unity to access the artwork. Once there, you'll find all of the tilesets and object sets have been pre-sliced, with the environmental objects already at the appropriate dimensions to drop right into your project (other stuff like configuring tilemaps or object collisions will still be up to you). Every tile sheet has been formatted in the editor to 16 pixels per unit, in no filter mode, with no compression, in order to retain the look of the pixel art.

  • This package was created using version 2021.3.37f1 of Unity, but should work with all later versions, as it's only sliced images, no code (UPDATE: it has been reported that the sample scene doesn't always load properly in Unity 6, but everything else seems to work fine).
  • All the artwork in this asset is contained inside a Unity package file. You will need the Unity game engine to access it. However, if you have enough Unity knowledge to do at least that, you're welcome to extract the tilesets and use them in a different game engine.
  • If you previously purchased this asset through the Unity Asset Store, and it's no longer available there, please contact me (selieltheshaper at gmail) with some proof of purchase and I will give you a free download key to claim this asset here on itchio.
  • If you have already purchased some of the assets included in this one, I'm sorry I can't offer you a bespoke discount for the remainder (they're already heavily discounted), but if you purchase all of the listed tilesets here on itchio, this one will then unlock for free.

I'm not a big Unity user myself (I prefer Godot), so this package is kind of an experiment to see if there's enough interest to take the time to prepare other assets (like my animated monsters, for example) for use in Unity. If you like what I've done here, please give it a 5-star rating, and let me know what you think in the comments!

This is truly stellar work, Seliel! Keep 'em coming!

Thanks for the kind words ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Hello, is there a pack like this but for Godot 4? Thank you!!

No, sorry. Just Unity for now. Maybe Godot someday ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

(+1)

Just wanted to add to the requests for direct assets for use in Godot 4. Definitely interested in buying if released!

hi! sorry if it's a dumb question, but: if i buy this collection, will i also be able to download these same assets from their itch.io pages? thank you in advance!

hello! ๐Ÿ‘‹ This asset is a stand-alone Unity package. It won't give you access to the other product pages.

thank you very much for the swift reply!

Hi, I'm looking at the full package over at https://ko-fi.com/s/d17d4bc25a

Couple of questions:

I_don't have Unity or access to anything which can run it (Godot/Linux user). Am I going to be unable to use some of the sets?

Will I get access to updates?

Will I get access to new products?

Thank you for your time

Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹

Without Unity, you won't be able to use this Unity package, but you'll still have access to all the same tilesets through the full collection over on Ko-fi. The Unity package also doesn't add any cost to the full collection, as it unlocks for free when you own all the tilesets. If you buy the full collection through Ko-fi and don't have Unity, you can simply ignore this package.

You will get future updates at no additional cost for everything in the full collection at the time of purchase.

The full collection bundle does not include future releases.

Thanks for putting this together! I see lots of broken directories in basically all TMX and TSX files when opened in Tiled (and similar issues in Unity). Looks like some files have been moved to _extras or packaged folders.

(1 edit)

Because your files will inevitably be in different folders than my files, you will need to reassociate those file paths for the sample maps to work correctly.

Double-click on each of those missing pngs and a dialog box will open so you can tell Tiled where your copy of that file is on your computer.

This is just an unavoidable part of transferring TMX/TSX files between computers, but you'll only have to update each associated file once.

Ah, I see. Thank you for the quick response!

Title seems to imply this contains everything but this text seems to imply it does not contain animated monsters

Question: what is contained in this bundle, and what is missing ?

The title is Mana Seed Tileset Collection. It contains all of the Mana Seed tilesets. A "tileset" is a collection of tiles used to form a background environment. There is a very explicit list of all the tilesets contained in this collection, along with helpful links:

The title and text are in agreement, and there are no confusing implications. The text you quoted says that I might prepare OTHER assets (like my monsters) for Unity, if this pack proves popular. It doesn't say anything anywhere about monsters being in THIS pack.

And to clarify further, there will never be monsters in this pack. Because this is a tileset collection. If I ever prepare my monsters for Unity, they will be in a separate pack.

If you want the full Mana Seed collection, that includes all assets found here on itchio (even monsters). You can find that option in my Ko-fi shop:

https://ko-fi.com/selieltheshaper/shop

But I urge you to also read that page before buying.

Thank you! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Does "TileSet" + "AnimatedMonsters" consist of all your pixel art work, or are there assets outside of "TileSet + "Animated Monsters" ?

(1 edit)

There are others. You can click on my name to see all the assets I have on itchio. Or that link to Ko-fi I gave you.

Have you considered that allowing people to, at a glance, figure out what is not contained, (instead of manually diffing a likst of 50 vs a list of 20) would help with sales ?

(+2)

I'm sorry, but you didn't read the page in the first place. I doubt another list of things this asset doesn't contain would've helped you.

Would love stuff specifically for godot!

I started setting up all my tilesets with evenly sliceable sheets specifically for Godot ๐Ÿ‘

Hey Seliel, what an awesome tileset collection ! Do you know when it would be available for Godot ?

(1 edit)

I mean to say most of my tilesets are already setup in this way. Evenly sliced for Godot.

Question! This is a unity bundle obviously. Do you have anything similar if I was to use it in RPG Maker MZ? Bundle wise. I'm assuming the tilesets themselves I can turn into RMMZ format, and was originally going to purchase this one to get them all in a single purchase, but I'm assuming by your disclaimer that I wouldn't be able to simply open them in photoshop haha.

Thanks!

Hello ! If i buy the Full Mana Seed Collection on Ko-fi, can i have the new update of the assets free or i need to pay ?

Yes, if you buy on ko-fi or itchio, you will get future updates for free ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

Hello, I purchased "Make A Farming Sim Bundle" an can see that This give me a Special promotion for This pack The full Tileset Collection (Cf Screen)

However, when I click on, I can see the Following screen and can't download The promoted asset.

Is there Something special to do ?

I've never seen that screen before, but I think the way itchio has set this up is kind of confusing. It's probably telling you about the Unity Tileset Collection unlock promotion because the asset you're looking at (Fences & Walls) is one of the required assets to unlock the promotion. Unfortunately, as you can see on the second screenshot, ownership of many more assets than Fences & Walls is required to unlock the Unity Tileset Collection.

That unlock promotion only exists to allow people who already own all my tilesets to collect the Unity package for free. It's not intended as a purchasing incentive. If you want the Unity Tileset Collection, it's much more affordable to just buy the Unity Tileset Collection than it is to buy every single tileset separately. Or maybe it would be cheaper for you to look at the list and buy the tilesets you don't yet own? I don't know what you've already got.

Alright, I understand. The way it's presented is indeed confusing, but that's not your fault.

I already have the "Make A Farming Sim Bundle." and the "The Mana Seed "Character Base".

The assets Iโ€™m missing are actually cheaper to buy individually than getting the full pack.

In any case, I love your work ! When I first bought the pack, I thought I wouldn't be able to use it and was surprised by the layering system. I initially thought I would have to request a refund, but now that I understand how to use it, Iโ€™m absolutely a fan of the result.

You are an artist ! :)

That's great to hear! Glad you discovered how to unlock its potential ๐Ÿฅณ

Hey, I just recently noticed the package is not available on Unity Asset Store anymore. Is that because you opted to support it through here? I have purchased it on Unity, by the way.

If you can send me some proof of purchase from when you bought it on the Unity store, I can give you a download key to access it here. My email is on this page.

Interested in purchasing this but I wanted to ask if you plan on ever formatting these tilesets so programs like RPG maker can utilize them (assuming they are currently not formatted in that way). Either way this is hands down the best asset pack I have seen on this site so great job!

Sorry, I have no plans to explicitly support RPG Maker. It would require me to redraw all of my autotiles and animations to meet RM's restrictive standards.

That being said, there's nothing stopping you from using my stuff in RM right now, plenty of devs are doing so. It will just require you to understand your version's requirements, and either edit my tile arrangement or utilize plugins.

I have a question regarding how the tiles are sliced. Are they sliced by item (i.e. a full table would become a single sprite) or is everything just sliced in 16x16 grid.

Simple answer? Yeah, they're sliced at the appropriate size, so you can drop full pieces of furniture, rocks, trees, etc, right into your map.

But some objects have multiple variants and are meant to be mixed and matched or arranged deliberately. There's a set of tables specifically that are sliced at 16x16 because you can customize the length and width of the table. Beds are sliced into two segments, rather than one, so you can have one part go in front of the player sprite when it moves into the bed. They're just sliced intelligently.

Okay, sounds great. Thanks! ๐Ÿ‘.

How much would I love to have income...

A very cool looking pack for an incredibly reasonable sale price! I jumped right on it before I realised it was a Unity pack, and I am not developing in Unity atm. Oops :( I really want to add these assets to the character pack I bought from you!

Never mind! I installed Unity and unpacked the assets myself. Feeling sheepish.

Good job ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘
